Welcome to Erfurt for the Annual Conference of the International Federation of Placenta Associations (IFPA) 2025!

Dear Placenta Scientists, Dear Friends and Colleagues,

We are delighted to invite you to the Congress of the International Federation of Placenta Associations IFPA2025 in Erfurt and Jena.
The meeting will take place under the theme “Crossing Barriers” from September 17–20, 2025, in Erfurt. The conference venue is the historic Kaisersaal, dating back to 1769, where Napoleon Bonaparte and Tsar Alexander I met in 1808 to reaffirm their alliance.
On September 16, we will host a clinically oriented satellite meeting in Jena.
The conference president, Prof. Udo Markert, together with the co-chairs, Prof. Ekkehard Schleußner, Prof. Pascale Chavatte Palmer, and Prof. Christian Wadsack, warmly invite you to this internationally leading event in the field of basic and clinical placenta research.
